Happy September!! Remember, this month we’re going Back to School… err, I mean, Back to OLD SCHOOL

That link includes a bunch of FAQ if this is your first time joining us for the Royale. In short – film yourself rocking Freestyle this month (outside of an UpDog competition) within the posted dates, submit your video link, get judged, earn UpDog points, and have the chance to win some super cool prizes too!

HOMEWORK

Yes.. yes you get homework this month! Drop a link to some of your favorite legend teams… the ones that you saw way back when and went “I WANT TO DO THIS” with stars in your eyes. And then you went and did it and your life changed for the better

If you don’t have video links, that’s okay! Drop some team names, let’s celebrate the dogs that made this sport what it is today!

SEPTEMBER JUDGES

They’ve got their pen and paper on hand and they’re ready to judge!! (Don’t worry, we’re not going back THAT Old School! Laptops are charged and set for next week!). Please check out this killer judge lineup for this round!

September Theme

Back to (Old) School is our theme of the month, with a focus on Throw Diversity and Difficulty for our theme winners! What falls into that category?

Handler rarely repeats the same grip/release

Handler integrates difficult releases/grips into their routine

Handler delivers difficult throws at various distances to their dogs (For example: All long tosses should not be backhands.)

This month is a performance round!
