The UpDog Challenge

All are welcome. New to throwing discs? A wily veteran?  An agility, flyball, herding, obedience or dock diving participant?  Everyone loves playing UpDog.  Review the site for all the game rules, videos and more.

This is #6 and the final event in the STL Club Series.  Also the last chance for many teams to get the points they need to Qualify for UpDog International Finals.

Please read through the details carefully.

Saturday:

8am registration 9am start
Games :
Frizgility, 4wayplay, Funkey, ThrownGo
Bonus:
2nd Round Roulette – free bonus 2nd round (no placements, just points) of a game of your choice (excluding Frizgility, Funkey, FarOut, Freestyle) – Great chance to get any last chance points you might need to qualify.  1 choice of round per registered team.

Also  a 50/50 CTP contest (throw a frisbee closest to the pin from 25-35 yards) and win half the pot.  Very popular game!

Sunday:

8 am registration – 8:30 am start

Games:
Freestyle round 1, TimeWarp, ThrowNGo pairs, FS Rd2 (the performance round) , Spaced Out,
Also  a 50/50 CTP contest (throw a frisbee closest to the pin from 25-35 yards)

End of Year awards Banquet (all are welcome) 1hr after the last game.   (there will probably be a small fee for food at the banquet)
Held in the cafeteria.  

Event Bonuses:

1 oos (out of state), 1is (in state) team (dog) name will be drawn and refunded their entry fees.

4WayRoll – Once we complete 4WayPlay, a random number will be generated between 0-45.  If you scored that number in your round of 4WP, you get $10!

Sweet Spot for Charity

You can purchase your sweet spot in advance for certain games (4wp, TnG, Friz, Funk, SpOut) for $1. All proceeds go  to ActNOW! Rescue  (You just put a dollar in the bucket at the line, let the field judge know, and get the sweet spot bonus points credited to your score for that game.) 

Bonus Players Pack Drawing – 1 team (dog) name will be drawn to receive a free Players Pack.

Bonus prizes throughout the day including “Catch of the Day” (Each winner gets a biothane lead from Fraggle Rock Designs)

The Mulligan : At registration you may purchase 1 mulligan for $5 (per dog) which will allow you to restart a bad round.  To use it, you must stop your round before time expires and turn in your mulligan ticket and immediately restart your round.  The original round will no longer count and the mulligan round will be your official scored round.  This is good for only 1 round (per dog) all weekend.

Food:

There will be food available for purchase all day in the cafeteria.  Chilli themed.  I’ll add the menu when I have it but for now it is chilli, chilli dogs, chilli nachos, salad, cookies…etc

Players Pack:

When registering you can choose the optional premium Players Pack – UpDog bottle opener, bite disc, stamped mini, UpDog shirt, and UpDog poop bags for just twenty bucks ($20)  Worth more than $40

All Registrants will receive one free custom stamped disc.

The Field:

We will be indoors, on turf, under lights.  The field will be taped to indicate the boundary, bonus and distance lines.   There will be extra matting at either end of the turf field to further protect dogs in case of an errant throw or run out.
You will be able to potty your dogs just outside the event center.
You do not need a tent. Your dogs must be crated and preferably covered to reduce noise.

Merchandise:

There will be cool winter gear available including hats and long sleeve shirts.

Divisions:

We will have Senior (50+) , Open, Elite and Youth (16&under) divisions for each game and overall.
Open is for anyone and could be considered an “intermediate” division.

Capping online registration at 40 teams per game.  A few walk up spots will be available but not many…

ThrowNGo Pairs… only 1 person has to pay. Then enter your partners name when you register, or check in Sunday Morning.

Camping is available on site at Purina Farms.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Fill out the fields below for your first dog, then click “Add to Cart”

If you have more dogs,  fill out the fields again and click add to cart once for each each additional dog.

When you have submitted each dog, go to your cart to check out.  You should see a separate line item for each dog in your cart.

REFUNDS : I will refund 100% up until Dec12. After that its 50% refunds only, unless weather causes you to miss or the event to be cancelled, in that case I can offer you a full refund in the form of UpDog credit or a return of your payment.
