The ChillyDog Challenge

Every year this event is bigger and better and full of new games, surprises and extras. Last year we had more than 80 teams from around the country playing more than 300 rounds of UpDog games.

This is the last chance for many teams to get the points they need to Qualify for UpDog International Finals.

Our 5th year will once again be a 3 day Funstravaganza  at Purina Farms, an event so epic we could sell out in just hours.
The goal was to offer something unique, and … maybe set a few new records.

We play on turf, inside, on (2) 30 yard fields that convert to one full field.  We use tape, lots of tape, and some curtains 😉

What’s new this year?

Its an easy theme this year.   Cinco!
So the centerpiece of the event will be:
5 rounds of Freestyle.  Yep.  Cinco
4 Extras  – 4waySpin, Mulligans, Registration Refund, and Doing the Cinco
3 rounds of human games including: TW, Friz and 4WP
2 Levels offered
1 Surprise

Registration :

60 runs per game / 30 runs for freestyle

Rolling registration means
Wednesday pm Est on Oct 10th –  Elite division and volunteers can enter
Then everyone else can enter on Oct 12th 8pm  until we fill.

Players Packs:

When registering you can choose the optional Players Pack – premium stamped disc, UpDog shirt, and some surprises ($20)  Worth more than $40

Freestyle Judges Training:

Learn from one of best and UpDog founder Andrea Rigler what to look for during a FS routine (hint:great for competitors to know also) $10

Extras:

1 oos (out of state), 1is (in state) team (dog) name will be drawn and refunded their entry fees.

The Mulligan : At registration you may purchase only 1 mulligan for $10 (per team) which will allow you to restart a bad round.  To use it, you must stop your round before time expires and turn in your mulligan ticket and immediately restart your round.  The original round will no longer count and the mulligan round will be your official scored round.  This is good for only 1 round per team.

4WayRoll – Once we complete 4WayPlay, a random number will be generated between 0-45.  If you scored that number in your round of 4WP, you get $10!

Do the Cinco – Earn 5 personal bests and get a muy bueno prize!

The Field:

We will be indoors, on turf, under lights.  The field will be taped to indicate the boundary, bonus and distance lines.   There will be extra matting at either end of the turf field to further protect dogs in case of an errant throw or run out.
You will be able to potty your dogs just outside the event center.
You do not need a tent. Your dogs must be crated and preferably covered to reduce noise. we will be able to crate in the room across the hall

Merchandise:

There will be cool winter gear available including hats and long sleeve shirts.

Registration Costs : 

Capping online registration at 60 teams per game.   I expect this event to fill so don’t wait to pre-register.
We rent the event center (both halls)  and the field for this event as well as supply additional awards.

each round – $8

$10 mulligan (only 1 per team can be purchased now or at the event)
$20 for Premium Players Pack (pick up when you check in )
$5 for 50/50 CTP (5 throws)
