With over thirty outstanding teams competing at the Granite State UpDog event in New Hampshire, we knew the likelihood of some high scores in the game of 4-Way Play was imminent. It wasn’t until the second day, however, that we saw the race for the tetra quad (four cleared quads) really heat up. Frank Montgomery had been showing that he had the potential to score big every time he stepped into the sweet spot to begin his round. It was on his second round with his dog Chicklet that it all started to come together. With only one missed catch, Chicklet and Frank racked up 30 points and earned the second triple quad in competition history. Congratulations to Frank and a warning to Chip Baker and all other competitors that this Mad Dogger has his sights set on a tetra quad and the $100 bounty.

UpDog was born on a restaurant table. We used salt shakers and sugar packets and ketchup bottles to create the field and games. All it took was friendship to breathe it to life. Every dog that takes the field, every team that competes, fulfills the dream of 4 friends sitting around a table.
