UpDog is partnering with the K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch League for a Worldwide Championship weekend!

Saturday October 12th is the K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch League Worldwide Championship.  If you haven’t heard about it yet check out information HERE.

Sunday will be a unique UpDog event like none other thus far.  Registration can be found at the bottom of this page.

Just like the Toss & Fetch League Worldwide Championship people will be playing UpDog games on the same day across the entire world and competing for regional and worldwide placements both by group and individual.

All locations holding the Triple Crown will have “Triple Crown site” next to their event name.  Any other UpDog events listed for October 13th are regular UpDog events and not a part of the Triple Crown Worldwide Championship.

How it works:

Three games will be played and points earned will count towards regional and worldwide placements for both clubs and individuals.  The 3 games being played are Throw N Go, Four Way Play and Greedy – a brand new UpDog game!

Every participant will receive a memento of the event.

Individual Game Winners will receive ribbons for each of the 3 games for 1^st – 3^rd in the region by division.

Regional Overall Winners will receive medals 1^st – 3^rd by division.  The overall placements will be based on a combined score formula and will be awarded the day of the event.

Overall Worldwide Winners will be awarded 1^st – 10^th place based on the overall combined score formula and will be awarded after the fact.  These will not be awarded by division.  Awards will be mailed out to the individuals following the event.

Similar to the Toss N Fetch league championship handlers can enter multiple dogs but can only place regionally and worldwide with their “A” dog (the dog that scores the most points).  This limit is not in place for the individual game ribbons however. A handler can place with multiple dogs in the individual game placements.

A note about divisions.  The divisions will mirror Toss n Fetch league divisions.  Expert, Masters, Handler and Junior.  For UpDog the lowest division a team would play in would be equivalent to their TNF League division.  Competitors may move up to a higher division if they so choose.  This would include Juniors as well.  For the purposes of this event only the Junior division age range will match that of TNF League (13 years of age or under as of 10/13/19).

Divisional guidance if you do not have a Toss & Fetch league division or are qualified for a higher UpDog division:

Look at your UpDog team profile with your best dog and get an idea of what you typically score in a round of Four Way Play and a round of Throw N Go.  (Scroll to the bottom of your team profile to see your results listed by date and look at the last 6-9 months or so)  Once you have those numbers look at the guidelines below and enter the most appropriate division.  If you are higher in one game vs. another choose the higher of the divisions you fall in.

Expert: 4WP 26 and above; TNG 39 and above

Master:  4WP 16-25; TNG 21-38

Handler:  4WP 15 and under; TNG 20 and under

Junior: Follow the age guideline – 13 years or younger as of 10/13/19.
